"Your house smells like dawg!"

TERRACOTTA! Ann Maurice: Interior Rivalry, Five, 9.00pm

First of all: anyone who spotted that the title came from that scene in Coronation Street where Shelley was doing her Ann Maurice impression, well done. Give yourself a cookie. Internet-variety or biscuit-variety, we don't mind. Go crazy.

Second of all: a new show with Ann Maurice in it - hurrah! This one's another The Apprentice-style search for a worthy successor to Ms. Maurice (why were we not informed about this? Does the position come with special Alistair Appleton-related privileges? WE MUST BE TOLD.) - for what purpose, we're not sure. We hope she's not thinking of retiring. Anyway, you can probably imagine how it's going to work - lots of people, some very suitable, others not so. A series of tests designed to test their overall suitably, unsuitable contestants gradually evicted, etc. Apparently somebody makes Ann cry this week, which we're very intrigued about.

Final note: if Sarah Beeny does a similar show, please ensure we know about it. We'd give anything to be apprenticed to the Beeny.
